No reception staff at midnight despite saying I would arrive then. Had left bag, but had thankfully been given a key to the room earlier as the room wasn’t ready for an early check in. Had to “break in” to their office to retrieve my bag.

HI. Im sorry to hear what happened. Can you please let me know your date of arrival so I can look into this as Reception closes at 11pm but we have a night porter on until the morning so he should have been able to let you in. My apologies again

1 night b+b in March reasonable price. Room good size, clean, warm but located in a tired annexe of hotel. Breakfast good. Not height of tourist season so hotel was empty and lacked atmosphere. One small coach group there. Some staff could have been more welcoming. Appeared to be short staffed though with one surly character. Applied strict segregated meal times to coach group that were there from England. We also found them inflexible in this regard. Could do much better in my view.

Thank you for taking the time to give us a Review, all feedback is appreciated. Sorry if you feel our staff were not all welcoming I will pass this onto my Managers to address. Yes in March the hotel can be a bit quiet compared to the more busier spring/summer/autumn months & we try our best to make an atmosphere and did provide entertainment on 3 evenings that week. With regards to the strict segregated meal times you mentioned I’m not sure I understand this comment as the coach you refer to dinned in the same restaurant as our private guests, yes the evening meal was a set time for the group but we also had private guests in at the same time, the groups breakfast time was open, at the same time as the private guests and in the same restaurant. All meal times are agreed with the driver or tour manager so it works in with their daily trips. I’m sorry if you feel we were inflexible with our guests and that we could do better but every single person on the coach trip thoroughly enjoyed their stay with us and are already discussing return dates. I’m glad the rooms were clean & warm for you and that you enjoyed your breakfast

Pleasent hotel in nice surroundinvs

Pros: The room, the staff and the food.
Cons: The carpark and the outside of the buildingscould do with renovation and painting.
Location: The hotel is situated in the Trosachs and not far from Loch Lomond so there is plenty to see and do. Edinburgh and Glasgow are within reasonable reach
We booked on line not knowing much about the hotel but when we arrived we found it was situated in pleasent surroundings. We felt the carpark and outside decore could do with a tidy up, but inside was good. The room was of a good size with clean shower/toilet and the beds were comfortable. The meals - breakfast and dinner - were very good, pleanty to eatand well presented. In fact we were planning to fined our meals appart from breakfast in other pubs and resaurants but when we tried the hotel dinner we changed our minds and had all our evening meals there, The bar was well stocked and we had entertainment every evening. All the staf were extremely helpful and meade us very welcome. We will return.
