Very worn and tired

Worst hotel I've stayed in for a long time. Carpet threadbare and bed hard couldn't wait to leave.

OK for price

Paid £46 with breakfast, plus got 8% back with Quidco making it around £38 for the night. At this price it was fine but when I needed to stay the next night it had gone to £75 which I certainly dont think it's worth so went elsewhere. Bed was comfy, someone's hair was hanging off wall light, shower was nice, cigarette butts on windowsill where previous occupants had obviously lent out smoking. Floors creaked and woke me several times, plus my room was next to the main motor unit for the pool and was fairly noisy all the time even with windows shut. TV remote also didn't work. But, for £38 with breakfast (which incidentally was very nice) is a good price. Staff also pleasant. Only take cash in bar so smuggled food and drink in from corner shop about 50 meters away. Car park behind.

Adequate for price paid

I can't be too critical of this hotel given that it cost less than forty pounds for the night. The hotel is showing its age and is rough around the edges but the room was reasonably clean and the bathroom was modern. I've stayed at Britannia hotels before so I knew not to expect too much. The breakfast was cheap and adequate. I didn't get to use the pool & gymnasium but they looked modern and clean. Nice big car park and friendly staff. Overall this hotel is ok for a short stay.

Nice but room a bit disappointing

The hotel was generally nice and relatively cheap but the room was a bit disappointing as it was very basic and a bit dated.

Overnight stay

Shabby interior. Very dated furniture. Not very clean. Cupboard door unable to close . Exterior appears nice and pool and gym were reasons I booked. Don't be fooled, this does not reflect what you will find inside. I will not be returning. Staff at desk helpful.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in

I have stayed in various Britannia hotels but my experience in this hotel is not good the first week I was there the room was cold and whilst using the shower the bath filled up at the same time flooding the bathroom second week the room was very hot no happy medium. Room is never cleaned properly at one point we did not even have any toilet roll, sheets are not changed all week sometimes they remember to leave you clean towels if we had not booked so far in advance we most certainly would have moved hotels. I know they say you get what you pay for but as long as the room was warm and clean we would have been happy would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
