We have 2 car parks at the hotel, we advise all our guests that if they struggle to find a space to leave your car out the front of the hotel where our porters will collect your luggage from your car and assist you in finding a suitable space. We are please you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope to see you again in Lavenham in the near future.

Lovely old building in rural Suffolk

Pros: Beautiful setting and architecture, friendliness and attentiveness of staff. Splendid base for exploring picturesque villages and the Suffolk coast
Cons: Better and clearer disabled parking close to the hotel. They can do nothing about location on a busy main street with cars parked all along both sides
Location: Lots of beautiful places to visit within easy reach - local villages with colourful thatched cottages. Constable country, Aldeburgh & Bury St Edmunds
Great service and facilities. Beautiful building, with exposed beams throughout (even in our bathroom!), and we had a deluxe room which incorporated a living-area. Staff very attentive and helpful, although we were having our 3rd breakfast before we were asked if we would like granulated sugar for our cereal (all that was available on the table was sugar-cubes and artificial sweetener). We also had trouble one morning getting enough milk for cereals - we were given one half-full small jug so we had to ask for some more, but got the same amount again, which added up to scarcely enough for one bowl, let alone two. Otherwise, the food was excellent and the service commendable. A word of warning - this hotel is NOT really suitable for people with disabilities. I should have rung ahead and asked for an accessible room, but because I didn't, we were given a room that involved a lot of going up and down uneven steps, which my husband found really difficult. Parking for disabled is also virtually impossible; there is one space with a small disabled sign in front of it, but when we arrived, the car park was full, and although if everyone had parked well they could have fitted one more car into the disabled space, it was too narrow. We were told that there was an overflow car park across the main road from the hotel and up a side street, but this was very inconvenient for my disabled husband; but at least the staff offered to wheel our suitcase to and from the car park.

A birthday Treat

Pros: It's in a lovely location
Cons: Perhaps in hot weather have portable air conditioning units available
Location: It's in an enchanting village and the church was very beautiful, and the historic Guild hall, as well as having lovely individual shops.
This was a Birthday treat for my partner , it was a very hot day and the room was like a furnace , understandably it is a listed building so no air conditioning but all they offered was a small fan which just blew hot air around , so it was very uncomfortable and we had very little sleep. Furthermore we found the service in the restaurant very sloppy and the food a bit disappointing, having said that the breakfast was very good.

Excellent old hotel sensitively modernised

Pros: The old style comfort and ambience which managed to coexist with a contemporary and thoughtful facelift
Cons: The spa was fantastic with sauna steam room and outdoor hot tub freely available to guests but it was only open 9 to 645
Location: Well placed in the centre of Lavenham with ample parking. LavenhamstStunning historic buildings and fantastic eateries within walking distance
Excellent service and fantastic breakfast with a wide choice served to your table, no need for buffet trips. Beautiful rooms and restaurant and lounge and bar areas with lots of different character. Helpful and knowledgeable staff
