It was all good, no complaints - except that ebookers did NOT forward my request to the hotel regarding sleeping arrangements. Hotel staff confirmed this by showing me my booking they received from ebookers.

Lovely rooms, just no view

Rooms are in a new block behind the pretty pub. They are very comfortable with lovely solid wood furniture, nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Room was spotlessly clean and we even had a cafetiere and bag of filter coffee which was lovely. The young lady who was on reception and serving breakfast was very welcoming and efficient. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that our downstairs room looked out onto a wall so it was a bit gloomy - no problem to us as we were out all day but some guests might be disappointed.
