COULD BE CLEANER

although the reception staff are lovely and the location is perfect, sadly what lets this hotel down in the general cleanliness. We had a deluxe room (the most expensive they have), but after 2 nights of our 5 night stay we enquired what was meant by a serviced apartment, as it seemed that only the towels were changed, loo rools replaced and bins emptied. We were told that was it. As there was a blood mark on our sheets we asked if they do not replace bed linen in 5 days and were told not unless they were soiled. They said they would replace the sheets as we had asked, but this never happened. We also said that we had a killed a cockroach and the legs remained on the bathroom floor so do they not mop or hoover. Again, we were told no, so the legs remained on the floor with no end of dirt, sand and god knows what else. The carpet near the lifts remained filthy throughout our stay and wasn't hovered in the 6 days we were there. In all, if you want a clean apartment then I would look elsewhere. If you are staying for 1 or 2 nights this probably won't be an issue.

Sydney break

Good hotel right across from Hyde park about 15 min walk darling harbour & 20 to bridge & opera house room was good tea coffee etc nice little kitchen area clean towels daily rooftop sw/pool 1/2 hr free wi fi daily ( would expect free wifi all times while in hotel ) for the price in Sydney would recommend & would use again myself

NOT 4 star

We will not use you to book hotels again if this is your idea of a 4 star hotel. The hotel was extremely over priced for what it was. It was grubby and by no ways of 4 star standard. I wouldn't give it 1 star. We were very disappointed and this was a most disappointing experience. It really is not what you think it is! Perhaps you should go stay there before you recommend it to anyone else. :-( Wareen & Justine

Excellent situation & value for money

Hotel is very close to Museum station, within easy walking distance of Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. Although the decor is somewhat dated the room was very clean, the sheets crisp white cotton and the bed very comfortable. What more could you want from a budget hotel?

good location but...

Clean and functional in good location but run on a shoestring. In need of refurbishment and investment - noisy heating system, some bathroom fixtures cracked, carpets in public areas worn through in places, only one person on reception some of the time. Quite a number of apartment rooms on cheap long term lets and maybe they have lost focus on trying to be a hotel. Not a disaster but would not go again.

+ Mir hat der freundliche Empfang sehr gut gefallen. Unsere vorher schriftlich mitgeteilten Wünsche wurden nicht nur beantwortet, sondern auch gebührenfrei erfüllt. Ich hatte nicht den richtigen Steckdosenadapter im Gepäck und bekam sofort einen ausgeliehen. - Wie in vielen Weltstädten in zentralen Lagen ist auch in diesem Hotel der Straßenlärm nicht zu überhören.

Nähe zum Zentrum. Sehr gute Beratung für Ausflüge. Sehr saubere Unterkunft. Das Küchengeschirr könnte noch einwenig vielseitiger sein.

Bon accueil, réceptionniste à l'écoute Chambre très très très poussiéreuse, draps non changés pour une semaine, salle de bain non faite.....pas digne de cet hotel vu le prix Good reception, receptionist listening Room very very very dusty, sheets not changed for a week, bathroom not made ..... not worthy of this hotel seen the privé.

Hotel de moins en moins bien malgré une rénovation

Pros: Proximité du centre ville, environnement sympathique avec vue sur Hyde park
Cons: Chambre poussiéreuse, draps non changes sur un séjour de 10 jours, douche à l'italienne faite avec malfaçons. Ménage non conforme à ce type de prestation. Très déçu car cet Hotel ou on y vient depuis 6 ans on a trouvé cette année que les prestation se dégradent
Location: Bon quartier à proximité de tout.

Nice location right at Hyde park.

The hotel is located right at Hyde Park not far away from everything! Our room wasn't to clean and even not to big. The staff was friendly! At all its not reasonably priced!!
