The room was very spacious and the view was lovely (only issue there was the windows were filthy which prevented us from fully enjoying the view). The main issue was the staff - they were very unfriendly and gave the hotel quite an unwelcoming feel.

New Years Eve

Was pricey, but it's that time of the Year and the best deal I found was at The Boulevard, hence the reason for choosing this hotel. Great location to the Opera House & Harbour, within a comfortable & easy 15/20 minute stroll. The hop on, hop off bus also stops outside the hotel. I would definitely recommend & I would stay here again if I'm ever visiting Sydney in the future. Parking onsite at $25 for each 24 hours, which is fair, but free would be a great deal !!

Quick Visit

We were only in Sydney for one night and I would have loved a longer stay in this hotel. We had paid a little extra for a harbour view and it was worth the extra we paid for the room as the view was amazing. The only small downside of the room was that it was right beside the lifts which didn't bother us until night time when the noise of the lift was more noticeable but it didn't stop me from sleeping.

Good hotel location but poor breakfast

The hotel was in a good location with great views from our room. Room comfort and cleanliness was good. We were disappointed with the breakfast service and amenities, including a toaster that took 4 attempts to create lightly cooked toast! I would recommend this hotel as a possible contender to a friend but would also suggest they review the alternate options.

I'm very satisfied with my stay.

This hotel lives up to all expectations. Comfortable rooms, all as advertised. I decided to pay extra for higher speed WIFI. All staff were welcoming. The concierge was excellent. No issues or problems, I would definitely stay again.

first Visit to Sydney

To be honest i couldn't find fault with the hotel it served it's purpose, but I was very disappointed to learn that no shuttle bus service was available from the airport to the hotel, even though e - bookers advertising for the hotel stated that there was! Having flown from Ireland, the last thing i wanted to do was walk up and down the concourse looking for the shuttle bus. I had to resort to a taxi and was charged an extortionate price. (Aust dollars 54). When leaving the hotel for the airport to meet a 09.25 flight, the concierge stated that the shuttle bus service was unreliable and I would be better off getting a taxi. At least he only charged me Aust dollars 36! Shame really, because i only picked the hotel for this service!

Just what's needed

Good hotel in very convenient location for most of the usual areas tourists want downtown. At first sight the neighbourhood is not brilliant but the hotel is only just down from King's Cross which is much better than it used to be and has handy shops and restaurants. The Boulevard is only just one street away from a whole line of restaurants with excellent range of choices and reasonably priced. The pub across the road is also very good. Brilliant staff and good quiet environment. Used by flight crews so it has to be good choice. No reservations, for the price this is an excellent choice for access to CBD

Situated in between all the main areas but beware hilly walks

The hotel is fairly well situated to explore all of the centre of Sydney being around 10 minutes walk of 3 train stations. However, if you find walking difficult, you should be aware that it is situated in a lower level than most of the rest of the city, which we found surprisingly hilly. This means that in every direction the walk was up hill and to both Kings X and Oxford St, very steep. Having said that there are buses that stop outside, but train was our much preferred transport. The hotel is of a good standard and our room on the 6th floor was spacious, with a king sized bed and a decent view of the harbour bridge in the distance. The staff were helpful and courteous and our room was cleaned well daily. They used to have a highly recommended restaurant on the 25th floor but that has now closed and in its place is a very small bistro bar on the ground floor. We ate there one night and had a very pleasant meal but wouldn't want to eat there every night. Overall a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend if you want access to all of the city, but if only staying a few days and just wanting to do the tourist things, you may be better staying a little closer to the harbours.
