My room smelled of dog, décor was very old and shabby, though it was clean. TV remote didn't work and the shower head was pointless, just an uncontrolled gush of water.

On checking in and going to our rooms, one room had no towels and the lock on the other room was jammed. These were rectified after a while. On returning late evening on the second day, we found that neither room had been serviced. The beds were unmade , no cleaning had been done or replenishing the tea, coffee and milk. Eventually we got some milk etc. and did the rest ourselves.. The TV was poor -only one channel obtainable and very dark. The lock on the second door was still very hard to operate The cups provided were badly stained. The reception was not manned on both days when leaving, so it was not possible to air our views. The whole experience was in stark contrast to our previous visit when everything was satisfactory. I would hesitate before booking there again Mike. Arthur

Grubby

Basic, tatty & grubby. Straw & hay under pull out bed. Yellow stains in bath Glad over there one night

Ebookers had not made my booking correctly.

Pros: Good Basic Hotel
Cons: No in house restaurant. Nearby services unsatisfactory
Location: Ned to make it clear how difficult to find when travelling from the west
Had booked for one not 2 had requested only a single bed! Given wrong location when booking! Very difficult to find

Pleasant stay.

We did arrive early, nobody at reception but a helpful cleaner did respond to the bell when we rang it. This is okay if passing through or even visiting local area for a couple of days. Clean and comfortable but could do with a bit of a refurb. Not keen at being woken by a dog barking in the next room to us ! ! ! Went elsewhere for meals away from motorway services.
