Faulty Towers without the laughs

Pros: Based in the nice town of Tetbury. Nothing else
Cons: The problem appears to be lack of hands on by management. Appears to be turning itself into a town centre drinking pub.
Location: Plenty to do & see in the the area & plenty of other hotels to choose as a base.
Can,t describe my disappointment with our one night stay in only fifty words. The only saving grace was my starter, fish cakes, for my evening meal. All downhill from there. A first attempt at a medium rare sirloin steak was returned as over cooked & dried up. The second attempt, I did eat, was undercooked , tasteless & dry. The thick black mould on the window frames in our room was disgusting. Although I paid extra for the upgraded room it was very tired & in need of a new carpet. I could list several other areas in need of attention but it appears management have given up on improving this establishment as an hotel . Previously had a reputation as the place to stay in Tetbury. Those days are now long gone.
