Friendly staff, good location.

Pros: Location, staff friendliness. Room was perfectly comfortable and clean.
Cons: WiFi is only available in reception which meant a 30 minute stop there at regular intervals.
Location: Close to the beach. A short walk from all Kovalam has to offer. On the main exit road so easy to get taxi and bus for excursions.
From the outset the staff were exceptionally friendly and we knew they would always do what they could to help. The room was comfortable and clean. One thing which surprised us was that they asked us each morning whether we wanted the room cleaned, at first we thought it was charged extra, but it wasn't and they did a good job. The hotel is not on the main beach-front which is both good and bad. Obviously the view was not quite as good, although we could see the sea. But it also meant we did not get the awful, loud karaoke from the big events at the other end of lighthouse beach.
