This hotel is probably the nicest one I have seen in my life. The lobby is dripping in chandeliers and marble (remember the hotel in Home Alone 2? Like that in a different colour scheme). There is a gender-separated spa, a gym, 2 restaurants, a sky deck and pool, a convenience store and other various facilities all within its walls. It's truly jaw-dropping. I had a view of a beautiful garden from my window too. The room is small but you would expect that in Tokyo. The location is a rare island of peace in the insanity of Tokyo. It's right next to the sumo arena so you could go watch it if you're interested. You can even see the sumo guys themselves hanging around the area in the evening. Minus points are the fact that you won't get clean towels or extra amenities unless you give access to the room - no care packages at the door here when you use the do not disturb sign. The décor of the room itself was extremely jazzy and dazzling so it could be a bit headachey for some. And the fact that although the area is peaceful, there's very little to do there whether day or night time. As it happened, unforeseen circumstances meant that I had to cut my stay here short (with regret as it's very enjoyable to be in this hotel). But then I was surprised to find that the hotel actually reached out and provided a refund for the days I didn't use. It was a very much appreciated gesture. I would recommend anyone consider this hotel for a luxurious option at amazingly affordable prices.
