Dissappointing

Pros: Location, being adjacent to the sea and within walking distance of Tulum Maya site.
Cons: Eliminate the extras, general WiFI, AirCon when required, more engaged staff, finish the refurbishments
Looks very attractive on website. But it lets one down in the details. Firstly it is expensive for Mexico in general, but not in the Tulum/Cancun bubble. One expects high standards for the price. Hotel seemed to be on a tight budget and seemed to funded from cashflow/extras. Some of the disappointing details.No wifi in rooms, just in the restaurant area. Aircon in rooms limited to 8pm to 10 am. There is reconstruction happening, albeit low key and unobtrusively, but our rooms area was not fully outfitted. Plasterwork going on outside. No chairs for balcony, so we had to ask. Hotel loungers/shades on frontage are extra . Hiring bicycles is extra. Beach was covered in seaweed (a general problem for all the hotels here). The ´gardens´ are simply local trees growing out of the sand dunes. Dinner was tasty but expensive. Continental breakfast is basic but fine. Staff were generally indifferent, catching up on their social media.Upside is that it is a reasonable walk to Tulum Maya site, and local craft beer is available

Traumhaft!

Wir haben als Paar neun Nächte im Hotel Poc-Na in einem Beach front Bungalow verbracht. Und wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen! Weißer Sandstrand und türkisblaues Meer, das man sogar vom Bett aus sehen kann. Zwei mal hinfallen und man ist im kühlen Nass. Traumhaft einfach morgens direkt am Strand zu sein. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wer Ruhe sucht in einer sonst recht gut gebuchten Gegend uns dabei kein Vermögen ausgeben will, ist hier genau richtig.
