First night , A\C wasn’t working , spoke to the receptionist and was told the AC will start working in an hours time and also they will send the maintenance tomorrow,AC didn’t work all night , it was hot and mosquitoes were bitting us .. After day full of activities, came back tired and on second night the a/c wasn’t working in the night time again , on top of Mosquitoes , stayed up all night , kids aged 6&9 also stayed awake . No ownership or care given , on our third day we were offered to change the room after maintenance were unable to find the issue . Such a shame that only because of this AC issue my review is a negative one as the location , staff , amenities, transport every thing was spot on. But a good night sleep is all a family with kids deserve on a holiday.

The duplex room was very spacious for a family of four. Lovely and clean. Towels were changed each day and beds made. coffee sachets and milk also replenished each day. I was particularly impressed with the electric opening Velux windows with blinds in the ceiling. They let a lot of light into the room as the view is a little obstructed from the front window The staff were very friendly an helpful. They assisted us with which Water bus we needed to catch to get to various place. The hotel is right next to Museo Water Bus Stop so its great for transport to other places in Venice. The Hotel water Taxi service was a great little extra as long as you book your slot early as it does get booked up. Food in the restaurant is lovely. The fried Seafood was amazing! The whole family also loved the Garlic, Chilli and olive oil pasta from the Bar Food Menu. Cocktails from the bar were great and there is a buy one get one free offer between 5-7pm each day. My partner asked for an Espresso Martini one evening and although it wasn't on the menu they happily obliged and made one of the nicest Espresso Martinis he has ever tasted. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a base for exploring Venice and the surrounding islands. It is more peaceful than Venice but is right on the Water Bus route.
