Expensive for what it was. A pint £4.80😮 I certainly wasn’t going to buy a breakfast.

Room stank of old smoke and was absolutely freezing, the Internet went in the middle of the eve and didn't resume until the morning, the mattress and pillows were hard and quite scratchy sheets, the shower was intermittent in its water temperature, and overall, this was a waste of money and a rubbish experience. The staff were fine and the room service food was OK too.

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay at Mercure London. Parking fee applies when booking via a 3rd party, free if you book directly from our central reservation. It’s monitored by a private company. This measure has been put in place to stop and fine non-Mercure customers from leaving their car in our spacious parking lot. All online booking agencies have all been notified of the charge, and we cannot be held accountable if they don’t publish it. Thank you again for sharing your experience. Kind regards

Did not like being charged an additional £10 for parking which is a bit ridiculous as where else are you supposed to park your car when staying at the hotel.

Room was OK but toilet would not flush. Told staff in the morning but came back to room in the evening and still not fixed. Had to insist on changing rooms but given a room already occupied! Charged for parking which is ridiculous as no other hotels close by do so.

The bed was very comfy and the people were nice. I did however have problems with the stained mattress (when you removed the sheet), and the shower corners had some sort of rust.

Room was awful, probably one of the worst I have ever stayed in. There was no beside cupboard/table for either of the two single beds so I had to put my glass of water on the floor and reach down to it. As the beds were quite high, that wasn't easy. One bed was up against the radiator which I couldn't turn off! So I spent the night sweating and kicking the covers off. There was an exposed light switch so you could see the wires. The shower took the best part of 15 minutes to heat up. Having said that the young lady at reception when we checked in was very helpful booking us a taxi to leave for a wedding. But we had no time to complain about the room. I can't believe this is supposed to be a 4 start hotel.
