Tea coffe is a nice welcome, found breakfast a let down poor quality food and waiting for breakfast items to be replenished very slow. Room was nice but the view was non existent. Felt luke becausecwe hot a good deal on booking we were suck at back of hotel.

Dear Guest Thank you for your review - rooms are allocated in accordance with availability and room type - if you booked a sea-view room you would have been allocated one - a standard double does not have a view a superior double does - if you call the hotel next time you are in the area we can confirm whether your allocation has a view or not.

Good location and inexpensive

Pros: Cost, location and offer included evening meal in room price.
Have stayed several times at this hotel and like the large guests lounge and bar area as well as restaurant. Rooms are basic but functional but pot luck how good your outlook is. Good value for money for location.

A reasonable hotel close to the theatre

Pros: Good location
Cons: Quicker dinner service
Stayed at the Westcliff Hotel whilst going to a concert at the Cliffs Pavilion which is only a few minutes walk away. The room was comfortable and clean but quite small. We had booked the pre theatre dinner which was quite enjoyable but the service was quite slow. Breakfast was quite good, although hardly anyone else seemed to be having breakfast.

Absolutely freezing cold Hotel, lacked warmth of any description, food mediocre, no parking. Didn't enjoy our stay and the superior room was not superior

The room we had was with a view which was good.

Pros: Clean, Good Sunday lunch, Breakfast also well cooked plentiful and unfussy.
Cons: Old building so a bit tired in places, Not sure about service in high season.
Location: During summer months there is plenty of green spaces to sit, Leaving to the left you can walk to Southend shops and children's amusements with what to
only 1 night stay, room a little hot could have sorted if staying longer, Considering our stay was the beginning of February this is not a bad thing open a window, Trouble getting television working, Simple remedy once told how.
