Excellent location. Clean. Hotel room small but comfortable Dinner in the Ballast bar was very good & the service from our waiter Macmillon was wonderful. Unfortunately the reception staff were not friendly which was a shame as they are the first people you meet on your arrival at the hotel

For a 4* hotel it doesn't have alot of the basic finesse touches for the price that it is. Robes, better bath products, water in the room, little things that make it cosy. The staff were very nice from start to finish but I feel the hotel could do with a refurb. Great location for shopping and eating in the town

Staff at reception and in the breakfast room most courteous and attentive. Adjacent parking with Talbot Hotel token is a great convenience. Interesting art collection on the walls.
