Lovely hotel with an exceptional customer service, the staff are a credit to the hotel, nothing is any trouble, they will do anything for you, special mention to Michael on reception in the keep, a gem and an asset to the hotel. Room was spacious and clean and serviced well everyday. The hotel is only a few tweaks away from 5*, definitely a great place to stay.

This hotel was super. The welcome from the helpful, polite staff was excellent. Our room was spacious, well presented and very comfortable. The location is great for couples - in the quiet, picturesque area of Whitby called Sandsend and just a 10 minute walk from the sea front. On site, there is a lovely pool with jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms and two restaurants to suit all palates. I’m looking forward to my next stay. Can’t comment on the spa, and gym as I didn’t use the facilities.

Good hotel and gardens

We stayed in the cottage that is dog friendly. £15 extra for the dog which is ridiculous. Only clothes storage is downstairs which is inconvenient. Grounds and spa/gym/pool all excellent and well maintained. Breakfast very good but service rather slow. Staff all polite and interested. Needed reminding about a small fridge we asked for. Open WiFi with good signal throughout, but not secure. Lots of car park space but a small distance from the main building, but drop off available. Overall, about £50 too expensive in my opinion.

Lovely Hotel

Pros: Helpful friendly staff. Lovely location.
Cons: Only negative is the room had velux windows, so no outside view.
Location: Close to Sandsend and Whitby.
One night relaxing stay. Enjoyed the pool, sauna, Jacuzzi. Lovely gardens. Next time would upgrade to a room overlooking the gardens.

Everything about our stay was amazing, from the room to the staff to the food. I was a little disappointed that the jacuzzi wasn't working, however, the staff bent over backwards and managed to squeeze us in for a back massage each. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
