The property was modern and clean, recently refurbished. One downside was NO LIFT AND STAIRS UP THREE FLIGHTS WAS DIFFICULT AT 80 yrs old. The restaurant was retro and a bit low key furniture wise. Good room facilities, tea and coffee etc. The food and staff were excellent.

One of the best locations of any hotel Whitstable, right on the front with great sunset views. Ask for one of the refurbished deluxe rooms and you’ll get one at the front with sea view and balcony. Rooms just big enough and done to a nice standard, breakfast was great and the staff work really hard to look after everyone in the bar/ lounge and dining areas. Would definitely come back and recommend it.

Lovely views in a town with character

Pros: Very close to the beach. Impressive kippers for breakfast!
Cons: Top floor sea view rooms are quite small.
Location: Lots of fish restaurants nearby and miles of beaches.
Good location, great sea views especially at sunset. Room was very clean but a bit small. Great English breakfast. Friendly staff all round.

break by the sea

Pros: Location ,views from the bedroom, parking facilities, excellent restaurant, pleasant staff,
Cons: the shower in the bedroom is badly lacking in water volume and pressure.
All the comments I wish to make are listed above and below so this section seems to be surplus and serves no purpose.

Birthday treat

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful and especially as it was my partners birthday and I wanted to treat him to breakfast in bed our way, the staff were great and couldn't do enough for us and made sure he had a day to remember along with recommendations for dinner which was amazing too. We would like to say thank you to the staff and we would happily go back again.
Cons: Would of loved a front sea view room with a balcony but they were full unfortunately but maybe next time
Location: Their sister restaurant the Whitstable oyster company was definitely worth a visit and a good wander up the beach to hern Bay is recommended
