Bedroom needed a deep clean. Shower drain was easy for my son to lift off and was disgusting be underneath. We stayed for 2 nights but all they did on 1 at night was make bed and empty bins. Glasses weren't taken away etc

Excellent hotel close to York

Pros: Pleasant and efficient staff car parking space spacious and clean room
Location: Hotel is set back from main road surrounded by trees etc. Very close to York Race track Short taxi ride to town centre at a cost of £6-8.00
One night stay for a family function, very efficient check in spacious car parking at rear of hotel. Room was spacious and very clean with all amenities that you would expect. Room kitted out with comfortable furnishings. Excellent buffet style breakfast for a reasonable fee in comfortable surroundings. Our stay was on a Saturday night, the hotel is set back from the main road, we had a good undisturbed nights sleep, no guest noise, no slamming doors etc, what more can you ask for.

Ideally situated for a short break

Free parking near the city centre is a real bonus. Local buses are quite frequent and are free if you have a pass. Hotel is quite adequate and staff are helpful. Quite noisy on Saturday night - parents leaving children to run about unsupervised. It's what you'd expect of a major chain hotel.
