Beautiful grounds with lots of little quirks, we were the only people staying and it was lovely. The only downside I imagine would be the use of toilets and showers when fully booked, only 3 of each and we worked out the properly as a whole would accommodate around 26 so could get very busy waiting!

    Camping for reluctant campers

Good selection of accommodation. As non campers appreciated the comfort of the pod with fire. Outdoor living without outdoor discomfort. Nice toilet block and shower facilities. Outdoor fires, bbq and seating on each pitch (didn’t use as it was bad weather). V close to a busy road, so good for transport links but some road noise.

    First time glamping

Lovely location and great base for York and Scarborough. Not sure what other glamping is like but it suited our purpose for 3 nights. Took sleeping bags which we put under sheet on kids camp beds (advice in previous comments) which was really good as cold on 2 nights. No real facilities for campers who want to do all own food but we were happy with doing our simple breakfast (hobbit hole great) and eating out. Kids loved having breakfast with peacocks walking past and seeing all the other animals. Showers were clean and hot. Had a lovely stay.

Pros: Location, friendly owners and animals.

Cons: only one sink in shower/ toilets

Location: Use the park and rides for York. Lovely day in Scarborough. So much to do in York, we enjoyed Jorvik museum and railway museum.
