Which trains run from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Paris?

The best train to catch to get to Paris city centre is the RER B, which can be boarded at two stations: Aérogare 1 in Roissypôle, next to Terminal 3, and Aérogare 2, which is between Terminals 2C and 2E.

Signs in the airport directing you to ‘Gare’ or ‘Paris par train’ will, most likely, be referring to Aérogare 2.

 

Charles de Gaulle Airport train timetable

It takes about 35 minutes to reach the Châtelet-Les Halles train station, and RER trains run 7 days a week, From 5:31 to 0.50 .

Aérogare 2 is also a hub for mainline trains operated by the SNCF. From this station, high-speed trains connect you with the rest of France and mainland Europe. Normal trains also run across Paris and the surrounding Île-de-France region.

For more information on the train timetables for long-distance and regional trains, visit the SNCF Air France shuttle-bus services run every half hour, 7 days a week, to various city-centre locations, and leave from between Terminals 2E and 2F. The stops in Paris are all next to metro stations or local bus stations for onward journeys.

Noctilien, which links the airport with various destinations in Paris between 00.30 and 05:30. It picks up passengers every hour from Entrance 26 of Terminal 1, Entrance 2 of Terminal 2F and Roissypôle bus station.

 

Taxis from Charles de Gaulle Airport

Two types of taxi are available: Parisian taxis, which serve the city centre as well as the Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne regions, and suburban taxis, which serve the city centre and the Essonne, Val-d’Oise, Yvelines and Seine-et-Marne regions.

Taxi ranks are located outside all terminals, just beyond the baggage claim areas, including at Terminal 1 (Exit 20), Terminals 2A and 2C (Exit 6), Terminals 2B and 2D (Exit 7) and Terminals 2E and 2F (Exit 1).

Bear in mind that, apart from the Noctilien bus, taking a taxi is the only way of leaving the airport between 01:00 and 05:00, so you should expect a higher fare if you’re travelling at this time.
