Where Is Frankfurt Airport Train Station?

 

Frankfurt Airport is home to two railway stations. The main station is located at Terminal 1, and provides regional trains and S-Bahn services to the city centre and the surrounding Frankfurt Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region.

 

The AIRail Terminal at Frankfurt Airport is adjacent to Terminal 1, and offers high-speed national trains, as well as services to mainland Europe.

 

Both stations are connected to Terminal 2 via buses and the Sky Line monorail.

 

 

Frankfurt Airport Train Timetable

 

S-Bahn trains run from the Frankfurt Airport train station to Frankfurt main station (Hauptbanhof) 24/7, with trains departing every 10 to 20 minutes.

Frankfurt Airport Bus Station

 

Both Terminals 1 and 2 have their own bus stops, and it takes 10 minutes to transfer between the terminals with the free shuttle bus.

 

You'll find bus stops in front of Terminal 1 at the arrivals level, and Terminal 2 on level 2.

 

The following buses leave from Terminal 2 only:

Frankfurt Airport Taxis

 

Taxis are available 24/7 at both Terminals 1 and 2, as well as at the long-distance train station.

 

A taxi journey from the airport to Frankfurt city centre generally takes between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

 

Large-capacity taxis (accommodating up to seven people) are also available, but should be booked in advance.

 

Please note that private hire car services such as Uber are illegal in the Frankfurt area.

There are car hire offices for all major rental companies at both terminals 1 and 2.

 

Be careful to check with the rental company regarding which terminal you car should be returned to, as sometimes you will only be able to return it to one of the two terminals.
