Flying Out of Montreal

The Montreal-Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport is located on Rue RomeoVacho North, on the Island of Montreal, approximately twelve miles from downtown Montreal. It's the busiest airport in Quebec and serves more than thirteen million passengers each year. Several airlines provide flights to and from the Montreal-Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport, including Air Canada, Air France, Air Transit, and American Airlines. Visit the ebookers website to find good deals on flights departing from Montreal.

Parking at the Airport

If you want to leave your car at the airport while you travel, you can choose from one of the airport's six parking options. If you're looking for a parking lot that's close to the terminal, you can choose from the Expressparc, which costs $45 per day, and Valetparc, which costs $30 per day. Econoparc, which costs $15 per day or $77 per week, is the airport's cheapest parking option. Because the Econoparc lot isn't close to the terminal, the airport offers a complimentary shuttle service to its passengers.

Transportation to the Airport

If you don't want to drive yourself to the airport, you can take a taxicab or bus to the airport. Taxicabs in Montreal run on meters, but there is a fixed cab fare of $40 for cab rides between downtown Montreal and the airport. Alternatively, you can take the 747 P-E-Trudeau/Downtown bus from the central bus station to the airport for $8.

Dining at the Airport

If you want to grab a bite to eat before you board your plane, the airport has numerous dining options. You can get a quick meal from Subway, St-Hubert Express, or Burger King. Other dining choices include Tatami Sushi, Boulevard Express, Starbucks, Tim Horton's, Jugo Juice, and Moe's Deli & Bar. Whether you're looking for a meal or a quick cup of coffee, it's not hard to find something to eat or drink before you leave Montreal.

Travelling in Manila

Manila Airport is situated in within a stone's throw of the city, and is easily accessible by car and train. Most travellers to the region will use the trains, as the fares are very cheap, however, car hire is also reasonably priced and can be arranged from the hotel itself. There is a road, called the NAIA Expressway, leading directly to the city from the airport, which makes this option easier for travellers. One of the primary benefits of staying in the Philippines is the cheap accommodation that is often of a very high standard in class and service. This does not change near the airport and there are many hotels nearby that will cater for a range of budgets. A large number of travellers tend to pass through Manila Airport as it is very well connected to other parts of Asia.

The most important sport in the city is basketball, and the basketball team, Metrostars. Many tourists on visits to the city will often watch a game during the season. Travellers who would prefer to relax and learn about the history of Manila will be happy to know that there are a great many parks and recreation areas in the city, the most famous of which are the Rajah Sulayman Park and the Manila Boardwalk.
