What you can expect

If you love impressionism and are inspired by nature then keep reading! We'll take you away on a half-day excursion to Giverny, widely known as the village where Monet resided in the 19th Century. Just a quick 1 half hour trip from Paris and you’ll arrive in Normandy, ready to discover Monet’s manicured gardens and beautiful home. You'll be guided by an art history expert, animating the breathtaking scenery of the lily pond, flowerbeds and Japanese bridge which appeared often in Monet’s work. Then you'll discover Monet’s home, much of it kept in its original furnishing and decoration. Prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience as you embark on a half day tour of Claude Monet’s garden and home in Giverny. Following a 1 half hour coach ride from Paris, you’ll arrive at Monet’s property and instantly see the unmatched beauty of these grounds for yourself. Starting with the orchards and gardens in the front, your expert tour guide will take you through the array of flowers (in full bloom during the summer months!) You’ll then be taken to the world-famous lily pond where you’ll gaze across to see the Japanese bridge, so often used in Monet’s work. You’ll be so enthralled in the majesty of it all that you mustn’t forget to take a couple snaps of the landscape or to jump in the frame to create your own photography masterpieces! Stroll leisurely past the bamboo trees, and you’re on your way to visit Monet’s home, so impeccably kept, it’s like he never left. Here you’ll explore his personal art collection, including his favourite Japanese engravings - one of the largest collections in the world. A quick stop at the gift shop to get your souvenir of this memorable experience, and maybe a reproduction or two of Claude Monet’s table sets, paintings or even seeds to recreate your own Monet-inspired garden! And you’re off back to Paris from the comfort of our air-conditioned coach.
