his fantastic three hour tour will take you on a scenic journey around the island of Guernsey.
During this tour there will be plenty of photo opportunities including a short stop to view Castle Cornet. You will be able to get off the coach for a few minutes to take some fantastic photographs of the famous castle before continuing the tour.
The next stop will be a visit to The Little Chapel, a miniature church decorated exquisitely with porcelain pottery and one of the most visited sites in Guernsey. This miniature church was built in 1914 with a plan to create a miniature version of the famous grotto and basilica at Lourdes in France. Here we will stop for approximately 30 minutes. As you will be able to enter The Little Chapel, please be aware there are steps which people with walking difficulties might find difficult. There is an option to sit outside The Little Chapel if you cannot take the stairs.
Just a couple of minutes walk from The Little Chapel is a beautiful souvenir and clockmaker shop. Here we can spend a little time to admire the different clocks and also to souvenir shop if you wish.
We will then make our way to the German fortifications built during World War II by occupying German forces. Here the original bunkers are free to observe and experience while your driver/guide gives the history behind this most memorable period.
The tour will continue through the beautiful lanes of Guernsey on to the Guernsey Pearl. Here we will stop for around 20 minutes. There is an option to buy refreshments and take in the views or have a look around the beautiful pearls they have to offer.
At the end of the tour you may either stay in the centre of town to souvenir shop or have lunch. Or, alternatively, the tour will take you back to the port ready to catch your tender back to your cruise ship.
