This +100 birds species tour has been designed for nature lovers, if you are a beginner, photographer or the most experienced birdwatcher this is for you. We love to teach, learn and interact with all people that loves nature.
We will visit two of the most important hotspots for birds concervation. Laguna de sonso is declared as an important birds area (IBA) by BirdsLife International and it is nature patrimony of the region.

We pick you up early in the morning, then we will drive 2h to get the starting point.

We arrive to the shores of the Cauca River to have our breakfast and get ready for our birding experience.

After taking our breakfast, we set off to sail in a motor boat along the Cauca river, spotting all the birds along the shores

After getting to the river port, we will hike inside the nature reserve of the Laguna de Sonso, to visit the two observation towers, from where we can see Ducks, Herons and Grebes. Other birds like woodpeckers, Orioles and Tanagers can be seen as well.

After our birding walk, we will have our lunch at the shores of the lagoon

After lunch, we will have a 2h drive to reach to Doña Dora birding, where we will stay the night to visit the "Lek" of the Andean Cock-of-the-Rocks early the next day
