Recipe courtesy of Chloe at Lashes of Lifestyle: A collaboration with my boyfriend Alex, this combines spiced Caribbean rum, apple juice, alcoholic ginger beer, and seasonal spices, and is served warm in a wine glass with a cinnamon stick. It's almost like a mulled apple, with a subtle ginger taste coming through, the spiced rum accentuating the flavours further. It's perfect for snuggling up on the sofa with, serving to guests who are over for a catch-up and nibbles, or as an after-dinner drink.
50ml Spiced Rum, 120ml Apple Juice, 45ml Crabbies Alcoholic Ginger Beer, Cinnamon Stick, Cloves
Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan. heat over a low heat (do not allow to boil) for 10 minutes to allow the cinnamon and cloves to infuse the hot-tail. Serve in a wine glass with a cinnamon stick for decoration. Tip: You could always prepare a larger batch in a slow cooker, leaving to heat over a low heat for 45 minutes, and leaving on 'Keep Warm' throughout the evening so you can keep going back to refill glasses.
