Being a small place, Dingle has only one significant conference centre; the 110-bedroom Dingle Skellig Hotel. Located on the westerly Dingle peninsula in Ireland, the hotel is famous for its comfort, hospitality and service.

Dingle has only half a dozen streets but is renowned for its restaurants, the majority of which serve excellent local seafood. There is an annual food festival in the first weekend of October. Highlights include cookery demos, wine tasting and a beer and cider festival.

Shopping

The Dingle Record Shop is the smallest record shop in Europe. Located in Green Street, it specialises in traditional Irish music. The Dingle Bookshop houses over 6000 books and will ship anywhere in the world. Dingle is also home to Finn McCool's, the most westerly surf shop in Europe. For unique souvenirs, try the streets leading to from the seafront where you can buy local pottery, jewellery and traditional Irish instruments.

Major Points of Interest

Along with Dingle's St Mary's, a neo-Gothic church whose foundation stone was laid in 1862, Oceanworld Aquarium is a fascinating place to visit. The aquarium has undertaken many conservation projects including the rehabilitation, tagging and release of loggerhead turtles. To try some excellent Irish whiskey, you can visit Dingle Distillery, which was launched in 2012 and is one of only five in Ireland.

Sports

Dingle is home to the Gaelic football team Dingle GAA. The rugby team Cuman Rugbai Chorca Dhuibhne and Dingle Bay Rovers Football Club are also based in the area. And if you like trekking, Dingle and the surroundings have many pathways waiting to be explored, whether you like hills and mountains or beaches.
