Very friendly and helpfull staff. Helped us making some arrangements for tours and restaurant reservations. In the afternoon you get free coffee and tea. Around the hotel is a lovely trail trough the forest. We were able to spot a lot of monkeys, some keel-billed toucans, pacas and many birds. The breakfast is big and you can choose betwen 3 different options. If i am ever coming back to Cosrta Rica i will visit this hotel again.

rugged lodge

Pros: Very accommodating staff, great large breakfast, love the birds eating fruit at breakfast
Lots of great restaurants walking distance for good prices, staff could not be more helpful, even let us place our breakfast order the night before so we could have time to eat before an early morning pickup. Pretty grounds. Monteverde is a place for people seeking the experince not luxory so for the environment the place is great.
