Great location, friendly service, cosy room

Location: Right outside is Bus Stop # 3 for pick-up and drop-off for airport bus transfers, tours etc. Skólavörðustígur and Laugavegur street - food, shopping
First of all, this is a guesthouse (think B&B without the breakfast), so you won't get all the normal services you'd get from a hotel. To be fair, guesthouses are very popular in Reykjavik. In general, prices are quite high for accommodation in Reykjavik so I thought Centric's prices were fair. I got Room #3 - a double bed (2 single beds pushed together) with an attached shower / bathroom. It was a bit old but nice enough - felt like someone's flat - which was cool. The heating worked incredibly well considering it was freezing outside at end Feb. WiFi also worked fine. There are towels but no soap - fortunately I had my own shower gel. The gent at Reception is very friendly and helpful. The best thing about the guesthouse is the location - it is super central. Right outside is Bus Stop # 3 which is great for airport bus transfers, tours etc. I strongly recommend including the transfer to Centric (it appears on most tours & transfers) as the main bus station is a bit of a nightmare to walk to. The location also puts you within 5 - 10 minutes walk to the main shopping, food & nightlife area of Skólavörðustígur and Laugavegur street. All in all, if you're in Reykjavik for a long weekend, this is a perfectly fine place to stay. It's location is super helpful especially if you need to head back to change after getting soaked by the city's totally unpredictable (but fun!) weather.

Kommunikation hat gut funktioniert und Self Check-in war kein Problem. Guesthouse hat 3 Stockwerke und leider keinen Aufzug. In der Nacht von Freitag auf Samstag war es eher laut in Downtown Reykjavik.. (Autos, Ausgang)
