Amsterdam Airport is connected to Amsterdam via rail and road. Trains offer a reliable form of transport and direct trains run to and from Amsterdam every 10 to 15 minutes between 6:00am and 12:30am. The journey takes around 15 to 20 minutes. Buses are an economical form of transport and stop at many hotels as well as central Amsterdam. The journey to central Amsterdam takes around 30 minutes. At the weekends the bus service is less frequent. Taxis are available at the airport. Although convenient, especially if travelling with a lot of luggage this is the most expensive option and at peak times traffic can be heavy.

"We had a great stay at Inhame. After a rather scary drive down south through fog, rain, potholes wet palm plantations at dusk, the lodge’s sign of entering a stress-free zone was only too welcome. "We had a great stay at Pestana. I must admit, it did not stat well. We stayed on south of Sao Tome and a day before our booking, I called the hotel to ask if they have a free boat transfer for guests. The very unfriendly person on the phone told us to be at the dock at 10am. We came to the dock, ..."
