What you can expect

On this full-day tour uncover the fascinating history and culture of South Korea at the Gongju National Museum. Discover the second capital city of Baekje Kingdom and one of the most advanced cultural kingdoms in Korea.

Begin with pick-up from your hotel in central Seoul and ride to the Gongju National Museum, established back in 1930s, and as you walk through the museum, admire the many artefacts bearing the history of the Baekje Kingdom (18 BC-660 AD) and the lives of the royal family members.

Here, learn about the excavation of the Royal Tomb of King Muryeong, the only tomb from the Three Kingdoms Period whose occupant was ever identified. Then see a wide collection of original Baekje-era artefacts, including the gold ornaments of King Muryeong and his queen.

Visit the Gongsanseong Fortress, holding history from the Baekje times to the Joseon Dynasty, and take a pleasant walk along the beautiful ramparts before heading to Goransa Temple for a look at its natural spring water said to make a person 3 years younger. Conclude with a quick stop to see the ferry dock along the Geumgang River and get a close-up view of Nakhwaam Rock and Busosanseong Fortress.
