Don't judge the book by its cover

Pros: Great room, very good breakfast, easy parking, quiet.
Cons: Reception could be a lot smarter.
Location: As above: go down to the port below the city walls and take a boat ride up the river Rance: loads of cafes/restaurants down there too.
It looks like a barracks from the outside and at first site, from inside too as Reception isn't very smart to say the least. However our room, 211, was brilliant, huge, spacious and quiet with a bath - go for this one if you can. A very nice continental breakfast @ €10 per person is more than adequate and there is free parking in bays outside the hotel on the road. There seems to be food available in the evening but we preferred to eat in town. The hotel is very well located for the town centre a 5 min drive, so well within walking distance and it is very quiet in this area. What more could one want? There is also a spa, but again we didn't look into it.. We would stay again.
