Lot of character, charm and style -comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Close to good local cafes & restaurants. Also Corte Del Ingles shopping centre & metro stations. Cons: 3pm check in ? No tea/coffee in room. Really need a cup of coffee when I wake up! Also not sure why charged 2 euro per person per night tax instead of 1 euro per night. Over all positive experience though.

If you want to stay close by to the centre of Lisbon then this is the perfect hotel. The location is amazing, less than 5 minute walking distance to the Metro which gets you all around - from the airport, to the centre of Lisbon and to other tourist locations for example the zoo and Colombo shopping centre. We were three females travelling by public transport for the 4 days we stayed in Lisbon and the Metro made our trip so easy. The staff are so lovely, Davide checked us in and advised us where to go and what to see, he always said good morning to us with a friendly smile. Davide even helped arrange a day trip to Sintra which was the best experience, having a personal driver was a lot better than going on a tour with other people. Joao Pereira was the most sweetest man, every evening he would ask how our day was and would leave the jacuzzi open so that we can use it after walking around all day. The staff felt like my family after 4 days, they were awesome. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable enough to fall asleep in after doing a lot of walking. We were on the ground floor in a room with three single beds (a double and a pull out bed). The breakfast was very nice, a good selection and always found a good space to sit (we went in September). I travel up to 2-3 times a year and this was the best hotel i have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived (11am) until we left (5pm) the Hotel Real Palacio staff took care of everything.

Wonderful 5* Hotel

Pros: Everything - the food was excellent in any of the three restaurants, the staff were lovely, the rooms are great, just an excellent hotel.
Cons: The breakfast room could be bigger especially when they have a coach party staying. It can get a bit hectic at Breakfast.
Location: Near the Metro and buses - many restaurants nearby. If you feel like a good walk you can walk down to Baixa, the old quarter it is a lovely walk.
We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this hotel, from checking in, eating in their three restaurants, the bedroom was nice and roomy with a comfortable bed, the bathroom was a nice size and the shower was very good. Breakfast was very plentiful with hot and cold food. All the staff were lovely and they all spoke English. The hotel is near the Metro and buses and there are plenty of restaurants in the area if you want a change from the hotel. On checking out they let you keep your room until 12.00 noon and after that they will look after your cases until you need them. If you happen to be in the hotel on a Sunday try the Sunday Brunch you will not be disappointed. In all I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel it was excellent.

Great Location!

Great hotel! Lovely staff! Ever so helpful. Really enjoyed our five nights in this hotel. Location is great too. So many nice places to see accessible via the Metro which is only a 5min walk from the hotel. Absolutely loved Lisbon! Real Palacio was exactly what we needed. Didn't have any meals or breakfast at the hotel, we prefered to eat out and enjoy the city. The bed's very firm. My partner ended up with a bad back after a couple of night's sleep. Very clean and pretty! Used the gym and the Jacuzzi. Absolutely had a grand time! If they sort out the mattresses, make them more comfortable and back friendly, I would definitely return! Thanks to the helpful staff at the desk. Great stay, great city and great food! Till next time, continue doing the great job you're doing. Obrigado!

City trip

Hotel is not worth 5* at all, carpets in rooms very stained, bed uncomfortable, furniture old, no tea and coffee facilities, no iron board ( only available in requests) overall very outdated hotel. If looking for 5* please look for different hotel. Hotel parking chargeable for guests. Position of the hotel was ok.
