5 day Family reunion break

Raffles Hotel is a legend. Both grand and grandiose. Offering impeccable service from every member of staff. And providing comfort to the point of luxury within the suite. However there were some notable shortcomings. 1. We arrived at 8.30am and were told we would have to wait for 2 or 3 hours for our room as the hotel was full ! After a 14 hour flight plus additional 3 hours travel time and feeling worn out, shattered and with severe back pain from the flight this lack of a ready room was an exasperating disappointment. After a 2nd moan at the staff they responded by upgrading us to a courtyard suite after a 2 hour wait. 2. The loo waterworks in our suite went berserk during our stay, causing certain but limited disruption. 3. The TV remote's volume control did not work. 4. Our chosen Lobster signature meal in Raffles Longbar Steak House restaurant was a disappointment, dry and unimaginatively presented. I did complain to the Director of Rooms at the end of our visit and mentioned the above. He did offer a modest reduction to our additional charges which we found acceptable. Despite these minor problems I intend returning to Raffles again because I love its colonial charm and grace.

Mythical, even better than we imagined

We spent one night in a suite and had the famous sunday brunch the next morning. The suite was as beautiful as comfortable , and the service allover the hotel was outstanding , from the moment we arrived until the moment we left , hours after check-out. The brunch is just amazing , and together with the famous Singapore sling at high tea , should not be missed. I can't wait to go back there.

Service TOP, Hotelausstattung und Zimmer gepflegt

Pros: Der SERVICE
Sicher eines der besten Hotels in Singapur, Südostasien und Asien überhaupt. Highlight ist der SERVICE. Hotelausstattung und Zimmer sind gepflegt, Restaurants sind gut.
