Absolutely fabulous hotel, couldn’t fault a thing.
Staff are a credit to the hotel. Always always helpful nothing is to much trouble.

Spacious and clean
Pros:2 kids loved the inside pool on the rainy days

Disappointingly Falsely advertised
Pros:Rooms were clean
Cons:Politeness of staff, definitely the food, atmosphere and amenities.
Location:In the middle of nowhere, you will need to travel in order to sightsee, go to the beach or shop.
Free breakfast? No. The breakfast is 8€ each. Buffet breakfast? Lies, there was only cereal, a warm bottle of water, rolls & biscuits. They then said we cook bacon and eggs upon request. We requested, the bacon was wafer thin & salty and the egg tasted of cardboard. We should have known better because we were the only ones that came for breakfast, it was just us all morning.
Most of the staff don't speak English and those who do are not very friendly at all. Very abrupt as if you're bothering them.
One of the main reasons we chose this hotel is because it's advertised to be near the old town. This is false. Old town is a 25 min walk or 8€ in taxi. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere with no local shops or anything for that matter so you will spend a lot on travel.
Sauna/Turkish bath is advertised but they will charge you 10€ each to use it. Ridiculous right? Oh & you can't just go when you feel. You have to book 30mins ahead and can only stay on there for a period of time.
The tap water contains a large amount of chlorine so it is not suitable for drinking or making cups of tea. You will need to buy bottled water to.
The cleaners are very pushy to get you out of your room so they can clean so set your alarm clock!
The interior of the hotel itself is very basic and food is horrible.
On the bright side, the rooms are clean.
Sorry but I will not be returning and I write this to warn others as I wished I was warned.

Nice place
Pros:Cleanliness and spacious apartment.
Cons:Snack bar near the pool. Should have a bit more choice and not so expensive.
Location:Location is good in the new town area. Really close to the strip, with bars and restaurants. Pingo Doce supermarket, 15mins walk is excellent.
Stayed at Vila Petra for a long weekend. Great spacious apartment, excellent kitchen facilities. Everything was very clean and in great condition. You can tell the management focus on cleanliness and keeping the place ship shape. We didn't eat in the restaurant as there are so many great places to eat in the immediate vicinity, but we did use the pool snack bar one day and found it rather expensive. Pool and pool deck area is large, with plenty of sunbeds and very, very clean.
Can't fault the place, we had a great stay.

lovely hotel
Pros:the staff,pool,location.
Cons:get better beds,the living rooms could do with sofa beds,fumigae the rooms to get rid of the ants

my experience at the hotel was lovely but one thing that put me off was that ant were all over the place,every time something with sugar spilt,th ants showed up in large numbers.I think the rooms should be fumigated atleast before a guest enters oh and the beds are not comfy too.we had a room that was meant for two adults and two children,that was according to the information they gave but when we arrived ,it was a single room with two single beds joined together to make a double,so you can imagine how the two beds keep moving apart while sleeping.we had to sleep in the living room which was very uncomfortable.But to be honest,the overall experience put a smile on our faces cos we had apool and the place is two minutes away from the beach and its close to all ammenities.

Nice hotel close to beach and nightlife
Pros:Everything, value for money!
Cons:indoor pool closed at 7pm, should extend till 10pm.
Location:The strip, bars and clubs nearby
Nice, good value for money. I recommend getting an apartment as there is a mini market located in hotel. You can eat cheaply for example breakfast and snacking and also they are in close proximity to pool. Nice sized pool never felt over crowded and we were there start of august. Very clean!
