Take your camera its so picturesque with many stories & historical events emeshed in its fabric. Great family feeling amongst staff & patrons. Dogs allowed in bar. Only drawback is that as it has been an Inn for 700 years it is on the main road (DoH! Obs!) so noisy traffic in the morning woke my ...
Great concept - basic affordable accommodation attached to a nice country pub. Didn’t like not having a shower/possibility to shower - a rarity today!
Room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom well equiped. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, tasty and well cooked and presented. The food from the bar in the evening was tasty, well cooked and reasonably priced
Very nice room and comfortable bed. No mention of what time breakfast was, but when i did have breakfast it was very nice. Most of the staff were friendly
Excellent room with lovely view of garden, spacious bath (ample for 2, maybe even 3) staff friendly and helpful. Room was definitely one of the best I’ve stayed in - food looked nice but didn’t eat there, didn’t take advantage of the room service either unfortunately.. Great stay.
Central location. Thought car park entrance could be more clearly marked. Good traditional pub food but felt the menu was a bit limited: no fish other than fried with chips. First room allocated had broken door lock and tv not working, but was moved swiftly to an excellent room with everything in ...
From the minute we arrived, the staff made us feel very welcomed. The deputy manager who checked us in carried the bag to the room. The waitress the second morning remembered which room we were in, and what we had har to drink the night before. We had a good chat with the housekeepers about the history ...
Fantastic staff. Great value. The room was really nice a spacious. The restaurant and bar fantastic downstairs nice place to relax. Only one disappointment and that was the pressure from the shower but that didn't spoil a great visit.

Run for real travellers, this age-old style of lodging is sure to keep costs to a minimum. It shouldn't be hard to find inns for holiday breaks in Castle Combe that burst with character. That's precisely what this sort of stay is all about – something different, something really memorable. It could be that there's a lively pub joined to the rooms. It could be that there's a leafy garden out front. Whatever it is that sets them apart, you're bound to find something special in Castle Combe Inns.
Food is actually one of the main features of an inn. It's what makes it different to a B&B or classic hotel. Originally conceived of as pitstops for travellers on long-distance trading routes, these establishments almost always have an on-site kitchen and bar. That's great news if you were hoping to sample bona fide Castle Combe cuisine, or if you're looking for a stay somewhere a little more off the beaten path, far away from all the main restaurants and bistros.
Whether you're after a stay that's sat smack bang in the heart of the action or somewhere quiet and secluded closer to nature, ebookers has such a wide range of inns on the menu that you're bound to find something to suit. We've made it super-easy to find the inn that's perfect for you, offering a map that lets you zoom in and out to discover the top-rated establishments right across any destination.
