Nice guest house in Faro centre

My room was very clean and comfortable, with all the useful freebies, even cotton make-up pads and a shoe-shining cloth! The hotel has a Terrace which has no special views, but lots of comfortable seating. Location is great, as it's a 3 minute walk away from the centre where there are many restaurants, bars, live music and pretty churches and cathedrals. There's a mini-mart just opposite the hotel, and a few cafes within 50m where you can get a nice simple breakfast and good coffee. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area, however not with taxi or travel recommendations.

Good basic hotel

Pros Good location close to train and bus stations and short walk to town centre Lots of english tv channels Comfortable bed Basic toiletries (soap) provided Cons My room overlooked the street and there was a lot of noise from passing traffic and the pub downstairs Staff on reception not very friendly sometimes.
