Hotel? More like a b&b over a pub....

Arrived at the hotel just after 9 in the evening as we had a 4 hour journey to get there. We knew from the website there was a bar in the hotel...didn't realise that the hotel was basically a bar with rooms over it. The bar was full and the hotel entrance was via a flight of stairs to the side of the bar with no signage for guests or indications of where to check in. We didn't get the twin room that had been booked which was disappointing. The room was very basic and cramped, bathroom was cold (no radiator) and the towels were cold/damp. We went out for something to eat and when we got back to the hotel the room was freezing.....guide in the room said the heat would come on at intervals throughout the night but it did not.....we were dressed like onions in multi-layers and jackets.....was so disappointing as we had been looking forward to a lovely break away. On the plus side, the breakfast was gorgeous and the staff we met at breakfast were lovely and friendly. The location is fantastic, so central, and the bar of the hotel is great and one of the best atmospheres in Killarney......but if you're hoping to get sleep before the bar closes, you won't as the sound in the rooms is quite loud! Overall, for the price paid it was very disappointing.
