Terrible the staff was rude, the room had no locks

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Knock the hotel and build a new one
Location: N/a
The room was very dated the sliding doors to the balcony did not lock and had missing locks as we were on the bottom floor it was very scary, any one could have come in , it seemed to be a cheap hotel for football teams and students.. you pay for what you got.

Bed for the night

I booked this tourist grade hotel as an overnight stay only. I was staying with friends elsewhere in Malta and wanted to include a night out and some sightseeing in Valletta the following day. This was a great deal (especially with the bonus discount). Quite difficult to find, one part was actually closed and the security man directed me to reception, which was behind the car park for a bank's offices. The pointer on the website map was not in the right place! The room was in another building again, a large tower block facing the town. My room had two beds, a pull out sofa and a small kitchen area with a fridge. There was a balcony, which I did not use, since it was lashing down with rain all evening. It was clean, but tired, decor was very dated. However, the bath water was hot and the full continental breakfast buffet was cornucopic. Probably had my money's worth on that alone. There was a pool visible in the centre of the development, day rates to use this facility were posted up at reception. Onward journey to Valletta was very easy, there was a bus stop with local services just up the road. Perfect if you just want somewhere to sleep and refuel in the morning, past its best for a resort hotel.

Great value for money.

Glad I didn't pay any attention to previous reviews. You get what you pay for. The hotel is the base for your holiday not your whole holiday. Went all inclusive and the food was great. Something for everyone. Only down fall was WiFi but you get it in all the bars and restaurants around Malta. Really enjoyed ourselves.

Rather good value for such money, but nothing more

In general everything is OK, but there are lots of small things that make your stay awkward. A long queue to check in (took me app. 1h), non-clean floor & bathroom (asked cleaning woman), only a fridge and non-plugged MW in a studio app with kitchen, only 2 plugs (1 for fridge and 1 for other things), but really LOTS of switches. Multiple water leaks (mainly from the past). Breakfast is ok if you spend 2-3 days (there are at least some natural food like roasted bacon and fresh vegetables, but coffee is awful). So, not so bad in total but small thing mar the impression.

i would like to have my money back please!

After a lengthy time of waiting to checkin, around 2am we were placed in a room with nothing worked ( no TV, no kettle, no gas, and we couldn't even make a drink for our young children) the place was dirty and smells dampness and it looks like the building is not suppose to use... The noise is non stop throughout the night disco clubs plus the building work in the morning We had no choice but to transfer to a different hotel the next day and we paid our own taxi, yes again for the second time. As result of this the first 3 days of our week holiday was totally wasted and felling cheated & exhausted !

Terrible hotel

When arriving the q was huge. When I finally reached the front of the q the staff were very slow and unhelpful . The whole place is dark and dingy and feels dirty. My room was very dark and all furnishings were very old and worn. TV didn't work and who place felt dusty. Asking ant questions was very difficult with all staff who were very unhelpful. After handing my key in I usually had or wait 20-30 minutes for a staff member to give me my key back. I kept my key on my after waiting 40 minutes once. The deck chairs outside were dirty and eventing in general was terrible. I understand that people say "you get what you pay for" but I have stayed on much cheaper but nicer places. I wouldn't suggest this hotel to my worst enemy.

cheap and cheerful

The only good thing about my holiday was the price. I needed a cheap get-away and that is what I got. I can sit here and list all the things that were wrong with this hotel but am not going to because it would be a waste of my time. I would recommend it to a friend if I knew that luxury wasn't there first priority. All am going to say is if you have a small budget then don't let all the bad reviews put you off because it didn't stop me. Take a chance, you will be surprised and shocked all at the same time.
