Worst trip to Malta

We have been regular visitors to Malta for a number of years. On this trip we decided to try Begibba, having previously stayed at Sliema and Qawra. When we arrived at the hotel we were quite happy with the outside appearance and this continued when we entered. On reaching our room, we discovered that we needed to make up the beds ourselves. There was no bulb in one of the bedside lamps. A kettle was conspicuous by its absence in the room and, despite asking to hire one on three occasions, one was not forthcoming prior to our departure after a week. One of the twin beds was particularly uncomfortable. The catering toaster broke down on Monday morning and all residents had to share the use of a two slice domestic toaster for the rest of the week. A nearby nightclub had loud music until 4.00 a.m. after which we thought Great - peace at last. This was short lived as the bin men arrived at 5.00 a.m. and then workmen started on a nearby building site at 6.00 a.m. We both still love Malta and its people, who are very friendly, but were very disappointed with this holiday and will not be staying in Bigibba again.

Positiv: Die Lage des Hotels war sehr gut fünf Minuten zum Meer und in zwei Minuten in der Stadt. Preisleistung war oke. Balkon war sehr gross und man hat einen schönen Meerblick. Negativ: Frühstücksbuffet hat man keine grosse Aufwahl. (z.B. nur Toast kein anders Brot etc.) In unserem Zimmer wurde nicht einmal (in den fünf Tagen) der Boden gewischt oder geputzt, es war sehr schmutzig mit Sand etc. Die kurzhaarige Dame an der Rezeption war sehr unfreundlich.

Ungenügend ausgestattetes Hotel in guter Lage

Cons: Doppelbetten in den Paarzimmer, die nicht auseinanderrutschen Besseres Buffet mjt mehr Auswahl Freundlicher sein Unruhestufter ermahnen U.s.w.
Location: In der Nahe vom Meer (weniger als 5min.), in der Nähe vom Hafen, ideal für Bootsfahrten Ein Stadtplatz mit verschiedenen Restaurants Bus in der Nähe
Das Hotel ist an einem super Standort. Das ist aber schon das einzig positive. Wir hatten als Paar zwei Einzelbetten, die immer auseinander rutschten. Das Essen war wirklich eine Kathastrophe, kaum Auswahl und schlechte Qualität. Unruhige Nächte (telefinanrufe mitten in der Nacht, Gejohle und Geschrei im Gang zwischen 2 und 4 uhr u.s.w.). Sehr unfreundliches Personal. Hotel verdient höchstens 2 sterne, eher sofar nur 1.

Dear Sir/Madam, We are sorry that you were not satisfied with your stay. Breakfast is served as Buffet style with fresh bread, ham, cheese (varies from day to day),Cornflakes,Coco Pops,Live cooking such as Omlettes, fried eggs, tomatoes, baked beans,sausages, tea,coffee, hot chocolate,fruit drinks and 1 type of dessert.Jam. Regarding the telephone calls we find this strange as I am sure that the receptionist will not call any guests for nothing.Hope you reported this while in the Hotel. Once again we thank you for your feedback

Ok hotel on a good spot.

Pros: Location
Cons: Windows and balcony doors could use some renewing. More sound barrier between the drunkards and disco downstairs.
Location: Bugibba promenade, restaurants (a lot of good places), Malta Chocolate Factory (great place with great staff), Aquarium (overrated), buss routes
Hotel Primera was an ok hotel in a good spot just next to Bugibba promenade with a lot of restaurants and tourist shops nearby. Staff was nice enough and helpful. Biggest problem was the noise coming from the streets at night. A bit better/thicker windows and balcony doors wouldn't hurt. Also water pressure in the bathroom was quite poor. Have your own waterbottles ready or go light with the soap if you don't want to spend a better part of the day in the shower. Overall look and condition of the hotel and its rooms was a bit shabby, but we saw nothing alarming. Bed linens were clean and nice and rooms were made every day. All in all a good place to stay with a low budget. There's no shortage of restaurants, bars and holiday activities. Also a lot of good buss routes to Valletta and Golden bay + other areas of Malta. If you're a type that wants to hang around the hotel facilities, Primera most likely is not for you. But me and my wife enjoyed ourselves, we just needed a place to sleep, shower and have our stuff while exploring incredible Malta.

Qualité/prix satisfaisant.

Notre arrivée à l'hôtel à 2h du matin n'a pas été un problème. Avec le voucher, pas de soucis. La chambre pour 3 personnes est spacieuse. Une petite fenêtre qui donne dans les conduits d'aération nous amène à allumer même de jour la lumière. Une télé est disponible, antenne branchée, aucune réception, même après refait une recherche automatique et vérifié l'installation... Donc pas de télé... Pour le prix (- de 100 € pour 3 nuits) cela reste très raisonnable car on dispose tout de même des petits déjeuner à volonté (amateur de chocolat chaud : pas possible d'en avoir)...
