Lovely small hotel but with limited facilities

Pros: We liked the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff.
Cons: Hot food served at breakfast and a bar that stayed open until 11 pm.
Location: The hotel is only a ten minute walk from St Marks square and also had ample restaurants, bars and shops very close by.
We stayed at the hotel for three nights to celebrate my birthday. At check in, they upgraded our room from a superior ,with inner courtyard view to a canal view room. He room was ornate in style with beautifaul fabric lined walls. The sun flooded the room from 7.45 am. The courtyard view would not have had any sun. I was disappointed not to have a bathtub. The shower was, however, excellent. Breakfast was the usual hot and cold selection. However, the eggs, mushrooms, sausage etc were barely warm. We were served fab cappuccinos each morning. On check in, we were given complimentary vouchers to the Murano factory which promised a private pick up from the hotel and a guided tour. When reception went to reserve this for us , we were told the murano factory lacked the staff to facilitate this! A big disappointment. On our last night, we returned to the hotel just before 10 pm to enjoy a drink at the bar, to be told that it was already closed. We On our final morning, the waiter brought a birthday cake to our table which was a nice surprise. We enjoyed our stay but possibly we should have chosen a slightly larger hotel with more facilities.

Amazing apartment close to everything

Nice hotel, with great interior! 10 minute walk from all the main attractions and very close to a vaporetto (boat station)

No air con!!!!!

We went on a two-room family trip in April, one of the rooms was a cupboard sized non cat-swinger, not unusual for Venice, and it became v. hot during the night (26 deg-plus). The aircon wouldn't work and I was told it wouldn't be activated till May - incredible! We were told to open a window and were subsequently munched to death by tiger mosquitoes, upon which point it was either a) move us to another room or b) we were moving to another place for our remaining stay. They did move us. That apart, the hotel was nice, breakfast was excellent, and all the staff were wonderful. My recommendation....don't get a standard room, they are nothing like the web pics (not even room for a chair in ours) and JUST TURN THE AIRCON ON!

No value for money

The pictures on the website do not match the reality of this hotel. The room we were given was tiny. The furniture is chipped, the minibar is overpriced, the plumbing is shoddy.

A lovely stay in an elegant setting

My daughter and I spent a wonderful few days at Palazzo Paruta. We loved the historic, elegant appearance of the hotel, material covering on our bedroom walls, beautiful old mirror used as a headboard etc etc. The staff were all extremely friendly, kind and helpful, nothing was too much for them. Breakfast had the standard ingredients but always some different welcome additions each day, great, plentiful quality. The hotel is in an excellent, quiet location yet close to transport and the sights. Ideal for tourists or business visitors alike. We would happily stay there again.
