Riad Lena & Spa

Pros: Loved everything about this Riad, staff, ambience very pleasant. If I came here as a single traveller (female) I would feel safe.
Cons: If you want to eat at Rena you have to ask in advance( a part breakfast). They offer lunch and evening meal but have to let the staff know in advance.
Location: Well located, north medina, taxi to here from airport is about 15-20 mins but then only a couple of minutes walk to Riad (where taxis cannot enter).
What an oasis in the mad medina of Marrakech:-) Lovely staff who work very long hours, always with a smile. I felt very at home here from the moment I arrived. Clean rooms, a bit rustic (cave type showers, wonderful). Beautiful terrace and plunge pool(also hottish tub- don't need hot in summer:-). Cannot fault anything about this Riad. The Riad is not far from Dmaa el Fna and very close to cultural sights (Medersa and Musee etc). Petit Taxis available 3 mins walk if you want to visit the new town Gueliz. Rose petals were scattered on the bed and room when we arrived- little touches about this Riad including the cold thrice filtered water (so no upset stomachs), free to guests day and night; substantial breakfasts, fruit, yoghurt, pancakes, local honey, jam, cheese. Very sad to leave; could have happily stayed another week or two.

All hotel property very old , in bad condition , towels very old, in bad condition. Sheets were never changed . No reception. Outside door locked , didnot give us kee? Streets infront of hotel extremely dirty full of hungry cats and dogs . Pictures in internet gave wrong impression about hotel. Took good price but gave poor service .

Riad in der Medina

Haben eine „Suite“ im Riad Lena gebucht. Zimmer war alles andere als luxeriös! :sehr klein, ungeräumig, dunkel, keine Fenster im Badezimmer . Mussten dann wegen grobem Schimmelbefall im Badezimmer, auf ein anderes Zimmer wechseln. Innenhof und Dachterasse sind schön hergerichtet und laden zum Verweilen ein. Kein Frühstücksbuffet; Brot und Konfitüre wird an den Tisch gebracht. Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Lage zentral in der Medina. Würde jedoch dieses Riad nicht mehr buchen, da die Zimmer schon sehr „schäbig“ sind für den Preis.
