Quiet elegance close to Paris attractions

We chose this hotel for its location.Having visited Paris frequently as tourists since 1968 (when we were caught up in the riots), we have come to love the 7th arrondissement as quintessential Paris, suitably inured from the worst of the tourist maelstrom. In the past we have stayed at an Alistair Sawday "Special Places To Stay" b&b nearby but, sadly the charming lady who ran it has retired and so we looked about and chose H. Varrenne. We weren't disappointed. The hotel has the elegance hoped for in its location. The "superior" room we were given was clean and comfortable as well as well equipped, (although ceramic cups for the tea and coffee making facility would have been an inexpensive and preferred alternative to the paper cups on offer). It was hot in Paris during our visit. How welcome it was to be able to open the room windows to let in the air and not be disturbed by noises of the street. Staff were all efficient, friendly and helpful.

Tolles Hotel, sehr sauber. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvor kommend. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und doch ruhig.
