Hotel Metallos is very close to both Oberkampf and Parmentier metro lines, and a short walk from Republique. It is in a nice area, with many shops within 1 minute's walk. Gare du Nord is 10 mins away on the metro. The 96 bus takes you into central Paris, but if you prefer to walk it's an easy 25 mins walk. The hotel was clean, friendly and quiet. I stayed in room 207, which was big enough for 1 person but probably a bit too small for two people. I would recommend staying and will certainly visit again.

Great room at reasonable price

Pros: Staff was very helpful and friendly. We sleep in so didn't have breakfast, but it smelled awesome. It was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Would be nice to have a kettle in the room.
Location: 3 minutes from Oberkampf metro station. Bastille and river within walking distance. A ton of restaurants around as well as supermarkets.
For the price, I have never had such a nice room in Paris. It was a good size with a huge bed. Modern decorations. With a 3 minute walk to the metro, it was super convenient. only about a 20 minute walk to the river, so if you like walking you can easily get to the Bastille and Museum of Natural History.

Pros: proprete des chambres
5 jours dans cet hôtel très bien situé les chambres sont petites mais le lit fait 160 et elles sont decorées avec gout Petit déjeuner copieux Personnel aimable et disponible

Hôtel des Métallos, rapport qualité/prix à revoir

Pros: Propreté de la chambre et bonne literie
Cons: le prix est à revoir (cf plus haut "décrivez votre expérience")
Location: je n'ai pas visité le quartier
Le prix est selon moi trop élevé : - l'accueil est minimaliste (bonjour, aurevoir, ne rien espérer de plus) - chambre pas très lumineuse (2e étage) - pas de wifi dans la chambre - pas de clim, ni de ventilateur dans la chambre - pas de mini-frigo - pas de housse sur la couette, ni de cache-sommier sur le sommier tapissier - salle d'eau petite et pas très pratique - petit-déjeuner à payer en plus
