+ Big rooms, washing machine + microwave. Good location. - wrong room with repairs still on - elevator didn't work
Too noisy but nice that it has AC. Didn’t like having to go to lobby to get drinking water nor the pool in middle of parking lot. Noisy construction and freeways next to hotel. No sidewalk to Old Town.

Chose this hotel as good value - I did not get a car as only there three days - about 0.7 miles to the Old Town Trolley stop giving a good service into town or out to the shopping areas. The walk seems OK but not sure I'd want to do it too late at night. Very basic rooms and service.
If you're on a tight budget for that next adventure, San Diego Motels promise to stretch every penny as far as it will go. By offering no-frills rooms that come with all the bare necessities of travel, they can provide some of the cheapest rates of all. Seek out the top deals on motel stays from ebookers and you'll be surprised what you can get for your money. Parking spaces, comfy beds, ensuite bathrooms and TVs typically come standard, while some establishments even throw in extras like pools, games rooms and airport transfer services.
No matter if you're planning a long roadtrip with multiple stops, or are just looking for somewhere clean and comfy to rest the head close to major transport links, San Diego Motels should have you covered. Originally developed as a convenient place for drivers and truckers to recuperate after long days of driving, these pads have evolved into a mainstay of the global hotel scene. They're known for value and accessibility, perfect if you're watching the pennies and coming with your own set of wheels.
But the budget-bolstering power of San Diego Motels isn't where it ends. These interesting little spots can also ooze a curious character of their own. Thanks to the standalone rooms with private access and dedicated car parks, there's a chance you'll be transported back to the retro era of the Americana highways by bedding down in a motel. Or, you could just enjoy the extra flexibility that comes with having a motel – it means you can be the first hitting the road come morning, or the last off it the night you check-in.
Talking of check-in, Motels pride themselves on providing serious privacy, which means getting your keys and hitting the sack should be a simple, quick and easy process. There's no bellboy or concierge, no lift operator or crowd-filled lobby. And, once you have your room, it's yours, free from disturbances and interruptions.
Then there's the added bonus of that on-site parking space. Because these pads are focused on offering beds for travellers who have just whizzed off the junctions of the nearest road, you'll almost always have somewhere to rest the auto in San Diego Motels. That usually means somewhere close to your room and within sight.
