Basic hotel but fantastic staff

The hotel room was basic. We stayed in the coach house part and it was cold and raining when we arrived in late November. The heating in the room was off and the room was freezing. We stayed in room 32 and the double matress had a huge dip in it (Well used).The only saving grace was the staff, breakfast and partly the location but the rooms really do need looking at. Our friends stayed in room 31 and that was smaller than ours. This hotel I'm sorry to say is OK but not fantastic and expensive for what it is.

1 Night stay

I booked this hotel for 2 couples both of us in our 40s. The hotel is nice enough but must say the rooms were basic but clean. I stayed in room 32 in the coach house with my wife and our friends in room 31. The bed in room 32 had a terrible dip in it and really needs replacing. The room was cold on arrival until we turned the heating up in the room, would of been nice for it to have been warm on arrival considering the time of year. Our friends room the TV only had selected channels and the radiator in the bathroom not working. We had food from the bar menu and frankly over priced for the quality of the food although saying that breakfast the following morning was excellent. The thing that made this hotel was how friendly the staff were. Overall OK buy not fantastic.

Great weekend

Very nice hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Some decor was looking tired, room clean and well presented with lovely view over garden. Attention to detail - eg poor toilet flush & flat pillows.

excellent but thin walls

very good hotel, but walls thin and had a wedding on. So after 3am it was like rude radio.
