The location was great. The hotel was very warm which was nice as it was so cold outside. The secure entrance made it feel safe.
Love CitizenM - great consistency in service and standards across all their properties and Paris Gare de Lyon no different. Although a little distance on the map from some of the main attractions don’t let that put you off as close proximity to stations means it is still quick and easy to get anywhere. ...
Zentrale Lage, gleich bei einer Metro Station, kleines, modernes Hotel mit freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal
Clean, elegant, spacious apartment, great location for sightseeing. In need of some minor repairs and updates, finishing touches nothing more. Breakfast was basic but ample, good and fresh. Tea and coffee in the lounge - only spotted this on checkout after four days of longing for a cup of tea!
Nice hotel in a good location. Rooms surprisingly large for Paris standard, and with most comfortable bed ever!!. Staff helpful and friendly
nice staff, good location, easy to reach for bus and metro. very near the river Seine.
In existence for more than 400 years, the Luxembourg Gardens, known to Parisians as the Jardin du Luxembourg, is the second largest public park in all of Paris. There are more than a dozen statues located throughout the Luxembourg Gardens as well as the Medici Fountain. These gardens were once only reserved for Royals are now a place for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy. Of course, while in Paris you will not want to miss the chance to view the famous Eiffel Tower, which has three levels for the viewing pleasure of sightseers. Other popular places to visit are the Notre Dame Cathedral, Musee de Louvre, and the River Seine, among many other marvelous attractions.
Bordering this lush, green space is the French Senate and representative offices which reside inside Luxembourg Palace. In 1611, the widow of Henry IV commissioned the creation of these gardens and Marie de Medici herself oversaw the planting of over 2000 oak and fruit trees, hundreds of varieties of flowers, and bordering hedges to recreate the park of her childhood in Florence. Along with the foliage, other notable features of the Luxembourg Gardens include the ornate Fountain of the Observatory, several carefully configured walking paths, and a large collection of statues which pay homage to former French queens, saints, and other notable public figures spanning the history of Paris and surrounding areas. In order to foster a welcoming atmosphere, the central rectangular pool provides a calm surface on which to float boats, observe ducks and geese, and gather near for a picnic or a day in the great outdoors.
