Hotel very close to bus stops into Mold or Chester. Both beautiful towns to visit. Hotel is quite comfortable but the staff are not very friendly. They were nice enough but unless you spoke to them first I didn’t feel like I was even noticed. The receptionist never had that wow factor to make you feel really welcome . Especially if you have travelled a long way alone like I did . I cannot fault the staff in the breakfast restaurant they were there at your beck and call. Very friendly very polite and always had a smile. I don’t mean to sound negative but I think because I work in customer Service myself you noticed these things more. Lots of different staff walked past me without saying hello how are you or anything . All in all my stay was ok.....

Arrived early evening after a very.long drive and were due to go to a wedding reception a few hours later so thought we'd get an hour sleep. However constant and really annoying banging stopped this. Complained at reception of this and lack of hot water and simply told; "Oh yes, that's just the squash court" and: "you have to let water run for 5 - 10 minutes as you are at the end of the line".

Pay that little bit extra - don't stay here!!!

Awful, awful, awful!!! If you want a tired, battered, scruffy hotel then this is for you!! We changed rooms after the first night as we were put in a room with the narrowest single beds, the room smelt musty and damp - the hotel needs a complete refurbishment!! Bathrooms were sub-standard, mildew over all tile work, toilets didn't flush properly, I could go on!!! Ordered a beef hotpot, which was served straight out of the fridge - stone cold - no fresh cooked food here - when it came back there were only 4 cubes of beef but at least they'd reheated in the microwave this time!!! My advice spend an extra few £s and get that relaxing, clean, quality hotel that you deserve!! Finally, the older, blonde lady who works in the bar really needs to go on a refresher course for customer service - you don't shout across the bar for your paying customers to get their drinks you carry them across with a smile - that would be a novelty!!! Only positives lovely lady serving breakfast on Friday and Monday morning plus the girls on reception!! If thinking about staying - don't do it your money is too hard earned!!!
