I’ve stayed at Sequoia Lodge previously, also in a Golden Forest room as I did this stay. I found the experience was not as good this time around. There was old food left in the fridge, only some toiletries were provided (no shower gel which is the only one I actually use) and no robes or slippers. When I enquired about this I was told this was only included in suites but I definitely had them on the previous stay which was a room too, not a suite. Check in staff were lovely, Serena was absolutely fantastic. Lounge staff were friendly enough but not the level of service you receive in Newport Bay’s Compass Club lounge. The snacks are also not really worth the effort of going back for. Overall it did the job but didn’t feel as luxury as a club room stay normally does. We bought annual passes for the first time this trip which was really exciting, but I’m seriously considering staying off site on future stays based on this trip.

As expected but more info would have been nice
The hotel was as expected. It was in a good location, clean and lovely theming. Only as we were checking out did we see that you could get grab and go breakfast at the bar, which would have made our stay much more convenient!

Schönes Hotel. Gepflegt und sauber. Klar, das Hotel wird stark benutzt und das ein oder andere ist alt. Im Grossen und Ganzen aber ein super Aufenthalt für in die Parks. Service vom Hotel ist eher etwas mager. Bei uns waren z.b. Nur ein Doppelbett richtig bezogen. Beim zweiten Bett fehlte das Leinentuch. 1 Nacht direkt auf Topper gesschlafen. Rezeption Meldung gemacht. Am Abend Bett immer noch ohne Leihnentuch. Lagen aber auf Tisch = man durfte das Bett selber beziehn. Ok zu diesem Preis was anderes erwartet aber in Frankreich wahrscheinlich normal!
