Always allow more than enough time for your journey though. The most efficient way to travel to and from either of the airports in San Paolo is by taxi. Reasonably priced, they offer a safe way of getting about. International travellers arrive at the Guarulhos Airport . From here the Airport Bus Service (costing the equivalent of £12) connects the airport with the city. But despite San Paulo being only 16 miles away, the bus journey might take one or two hours, depending on traffic. Domestic Congonhas Airport is even closer - just seven miles from the city, it is also best reached by taxi.
